James Orchard Halliwell-Phillips included the Three slight Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf fairy tale in his 1843 book called Nursery Rhymes and Nursery Tales. It was the first known written version of the story, although it probably existed in some form in oral folktale tradition. The written form of the story may have borrowed elements from other fairy tales of the time, like The Wolf and the Seven Young Kids to generate a new fairy tale. It is not clear what the exact origin of the tale is, but this 1843 version is the beginning of the Three slight Pigs story as we know it today.

Joseph Jacobs put together a range of fairy tales in a book called English Fairy Tales, published in 1890. He cites Halliwell-Phillips as the source of The Story of the Three slight Pigs that he includes in his book. In fact, it appears to be a word for word reprint of the 1843 printing of the story. However, it is commonly Joseph Jacobs who is credited as the man who created the version on which most modern versions of the story are based.

In the Jacobs and Halliwell-Phillips version of the fairy tale the mother pig sends her kids out into the world to seek their fortune. The first pig builds and house out of straw. The wolf comes, blows the house in and eats the pig. The second pig builds a house out of twigs. The wolf comes, blows the house in and eats the pig. The third pig builds his house out of bricks. The wolf comes, can't blow the house in, and tries to trick the pig to let him in. The third pig outwits the wolf so the wolf tries to come down the chimney. The wolf falls into a pot of boiling water and the pig ends up killing and eating the wolf. There is very slight personality given to the pigs, especially the first two. We know that their choices were poor, but the pigs weren't characterized as dumb or lazy in the story.

Joel Chandler Harris included a divergence of The Three slight Pigs in the book Nights with Uncle Remus. He called the fairy tale The Story of the Pigs and included 5 pigs instead of three. This version has the mother pig close to death when she warns her 5 children to beware of Brer Wolf. The pigs were named Big Pig, slight Pig, Speckle Pig, Blunt, and Runt. Big Pig built a house out of brush. slight Pig built a house out of sticks. Speckle Pig built a mud house. Blunt built a house with planks. Finally, Runt built a stone house. However, the wolf doesn't huff and puff and blow the houses in. The wolf tricks the pigs into letting him in and then eats them, except for Runt. Runt outwits the wolf and ends up killing him in the fire when he comes down the chimney. Joel Chandler Harris well added more personality to the pigs by giving them names and they each also had an attitude about their mother's warning about the wolf.

Another version of The Three slight Pigs was included in Andrew Lang's range of fairy tales called The Green Fairy Book, published in 1892. Like Harris, he also named the pigs: Browny, Whitey, and Blacky. Also like Harris, he gave the pigs more personality than the Jacobs version. Browny was said to be a dirty pig who only liked rolling around in the mud and didn't obey his mother. Whitey was smart, but she was also greedy and selfish and only wanted to eat. Her mother warned her that one day she would suffer for her greed. Blacky was a very clever pig who was neat and nice. His mother was very proud of him, but only him. In this version of the tale, the mother pig asked her children what kind of houses they wanted and she would have them built. Browny wanted a mud house, Whitey wanted a house made of cabbage and Blacky wanted a house made from bricks. Someone else divergence is that Lang's version features a fox as the villain, not a wolf. Also, rather than huffing and puffing and blowing the first two houses in and eating the pigs, the fox is well able to get into the houses to capture the pigs. He then carries them to his den. Blacky outwits the fox in a similar manner to the Jacobs version, kills the fox, and then goes to the fox's den to save his brother and sister. Browny and Whitey then go to live with Blacky and give up their bad ways and all three live happily ever after. This is quite different from the Jacobs version.

Disney produced an challenging short film of the The Three slight Pigs, released in 1933. It has some story elements from both Jacob's and Lang's versions of the fairy tale. Disney names the pigs Fifer Pig, Fiddler Pig and Practical Pig. They are also given more personality like in the Lang version. Fifer builds his house out of straw and Fiddler builds his house out of sticks. They do so very quickly and then have fun all day while teasing their brother, Practical Pig, about working so hard to build his brick house. They just want to play instead of work hard. Practical warns his brothers about the big bad wolf, but they ignore his warning. Like Jacob's version, the wolf huffs and puffs and blows the straw and stick houses down. But, instead of the wolf eating them, they escape their own houses and end up in the brick house. The wolf tries to blow down the brick house but when he can't he tries to gain entry straight through the chimney. There is no endeavor at tricking the pigs to let him into the brick house, like in the Jacobs or Lang version. Finally, once the fox gets burned from the pot of boiling water, we runs away in pain rather than being eaten by the pigs. Like Lang, Disney chose to soften the story by not killing off the first two pigs. Unlike earlier versions, Disney also lets the wolf survive.

These are just a few of the variations of The Three slight Pigs fairy tale. To read the full version of the Joseph Jacobs version please effect the link in the resource box.

I'm warning you in advance. This is a sad story, particularly if you like pets. And this you obviously do, since you found and are reading this article.

But don't worry, it has a happy ending. So please keep reading if you want to learn how to secure the Ghost Wolf as a pet.

I can still remember the first time ever that I saw a Ghost Wolf in World of Warcraft. Of procedure I do, because this beast is a real beauty.

There are two wolf forms in WoW, and the Ghost Wolf is the prettier of the two. It is transparent, spectral looking, and features bluish ice-like colours. When it howls, you form an impression of an fundamental echo.

When I met this wonder beast, I immediately fell in love with it. My hunter was level 28 or so, and I was running through the dungeon Shadowfang Keep with four of my friends.

After the dungeon, I talked a higher level friend into going there with me, so that I could tame the Ghost Wolf, but alas... Only to find out that it wasn't tameable.

By doing research, I found out that this beast had once been tameable, but that Blizzard had later changed this situation. There was no way that my hunter could ever secure one but, much later, I saw somebody with it in the Auction House. This was, indeed, a very lucky man who'd obviously played WoW for a very long time, in order to possess it.

Time passed, but I never forgot my love of these superb creatures.

Then one evening, as usual, the horde attacked Astranaar. This small village was an easy target for a high level horde, so what they did was wholly without honour.

There were a few people who stood up to them, and valiantly fought back against them. One of these, a draenei woman, surprised me by sending not one, but two Ghost Wolves after the horde to bite their heels, as they ran off. (I found out later they were now called Spirit Wolves.)

I didn't dare to ask her as to how she acquired them, but I noticed that she was a shaman, so I wrote down her name.

To my pleasant surprise, it was possible for a shaman with talents in the Enhancement tree to have two spirit wolves to fight for him for about 45 seconds duration during every two minutes. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to pick that extra talent before at least level 60.

That same evening, I created my shaman, just to ultimately get my spirit wolves, and I never regretted doing it. As somebody once said: "Everybody should have a shaman". This class is genuinely spellbinding to play, and has many possibilities. And I was so proud the first time I achieved this, I took out my spirit wolves to show them to my friends.

If you are in the process of purchasing a new asset and want to know what options you have, you need to be made aware of assumable mortgages. This type of mortgage has many benefits but it can also have its drawbacks.

What is an assumable mortgage?

An assumable mortgage is a type of refinance where the buyer takes over the terms of the mortgage from the jobber with the client's bank. It used to be that the buyer in the past never had to qualify for mortgage. Banks fast found out that this was not good as the buyers sometimes could not unquestionably afford the asset and would walk away from the mortgage.

There are any advantages to this refinance so let's take a look at why this refinance is so attractive.
One huge benefit of taking over someone's terms is the interest rate. Economists have advised that interest rates could go as high as 7 percent next year, with rates so high now would be a great time to get an assumable mortgage.

If you are a jobber and are not sure if you can sell your house by way of an assumable mortgage then you should experience your bank or lender. Mortgages former to 1989 can still be assumed and the buyer does not have to qualify. The downside for the jobber though is that should the buyer default the loan is still their accountability unless you get a letter of release.

Assumable mortgages used to be unheard of as the mortgage rates were already so low that a buyer could get a low mortgage rate refinance on their own. Since the housing market debacle though the interest rates have been on a steady climb and qualifying for a new mortgage can be highly difficult.

Assumption mortgages used to be a great deal for the buyers because of the lower interest rates and the fact that they did not have to qualify. Seeing that this has changed it can be highly difficult for a man to qualify for an assumable mortgage as they now have to apply with the seller's bank to take over the mortgage terms.

Another disadvantage is when the asset value of the house has decreased below the actual mortgage amount. What can happen here is the buyer will need to come up with the unlikeness between the sale price and the current mortgage balance. If you were going to apply a down cost then this should not influence you at all if not then it could put a strain on your refinance.

Wolf Pack Ways - Raising Wild Wolf Pups

Wolf Pack Ways - Raising Wild Wolf Pups

Wild wolf society helps us understand the dog instinctive behavior we scrutinize in our domestic pets, from the bring up of the young to the very modes of play that seem so adorable in our puppies. What do these mean? Let's take a look at the wolf pack as the newborn pups evolve from suckling babes to capable predators in training. reconsider the considerable roles of order, disciplined obedience, pack leadership, and boundaries to their very survival!

Soon after the pups are born, the pack will make a kill. How can you tell they are in kill mode? When they are not going to make a kill, the wolf pack runs in an "S" pattern, and birds of prey do not follow. When they are going to make a kill, the wolf pack forms a "V" with the alpha leader of the pack as the point man.

The mate of the mom wolf will carry food back to her. The male will push the food into the mouth of the den, but he will not enter.

Wolf infants evidence their wildness from the very starting by howling immediately the first time they have a full belly. The wolf pups to not have the luxury of suckling mom for long, though. They are soon left with a puppy sitter, and they have to learn a new way of being fed. When the adults return from the hunt, they open their mouths to let the scent of food pour out. Attracted by the scent, each pup sticks his nose in the projection of an adult's mouth where the scent is strongest, and the older wolf regurgitates a meal for him. The adults then return to the kill and feed themselves.

The mom wolf will normally bring the pups out when they are about ten days old. Sometimes she waits up to fourteen days. The pups are then laden with the scent of the wolf pack by the alpha leader. Soon after, the pack members groom the pups as a way of bonding with them. All members of the wolf pack adore and bring up the young.

Wolf pups must grow up fast, for they live in an unforgiving environment. Refusal to obey an adult's "Stay!" bark often results in the death of a pup. Grizzlies, spiders, disease, and large birds of prey do not hesitate to prey on the young wolf pups.

Puppy play increases as the pups mature. Wrestling, mouthing on each other, chasing, biting of the back legs, tug-of-war with caribou hides, stalking each other, and other games are all things the pups do to organize and progress their survival skills. This same predatory wildness is part of our domestic dogs, too, something you cannot take away from them. (They key is to channel it properly.)

Some of the toys pups in the wolf pack use in their play include the wings of birds, bones from the kill, and to a much lesser extent, sticks. Pups also start practicing dragging around pieces from the kill and blocking each other from it.

When they start receiving solid meat, immediately the wolf pups start the aggressive dominance behavior of blocking each other and trying to take the food of the more mellow pups. Instinctively, they institution maneuvers to organize time to come wolf pack rank.

When puppy play becomes too rough and cheeky pups begin to harass adults, immediately they are put in their place. Without warning, an adult wolf will pin the rambunctious pup on the ground. This is how the wolf pups learn permissible behavior.

This technique is also the most effective one to use in inescapable circumstances with a domestic dog, because the dog understands instinctively what is meant when he is pinned on the ground and is not hurt in the process. This technique makes the dog respect you as the alpha leader.

Domestic puppies need pack interaction, too, which is why many behavior problems organize when pups are taken from their litters too early. The wild dog behavior displayed by domestic dogs of jumping up and diving at you like a nut case would never be tolerated in a wolf pack. The wolf pack or dog pack does not allow unstable, erratic, or spoiled brat behavior, and neither should you.

selecting Empowerment And Positivity - Feeding The Good Wolf

selecting Empowerment And Positivity - Feeding The Good Wolf

Choosing empowerment and positivity, or negativity and unhappiness, is a decision that you're development every day, either you realize it or not.

Native American culture tells the story of a man who explains his own constant struggle in the middle of positive, empowering, creative impulses and negative and self-destructive ones by telling his son that he has two wolves fighting in his heart -- a good wolf and a bad one. The boy asks him which of the two will win the battle. The father replies, "Whichever one I feed."

It's very true. The feelings that we sustain and return to, time after time, are the ones which come to dominate our thoughts and actions, while the ones we turn away from fade away.

The exciting thing is, we have a choice. Although the two wolves both exist, we can select which one of them we want to feed. That means, we select which one will win.

You probably know population who feel sorry for themselves, who belittle others, who seem to get some kind of delight out of feeling miserable, who portray themselves as victims and reject the affections of whatever who doesn't offer constant sympathy. Often it seems to every person but themselves that they undoubtedly have a whole lot going for them, but they're apt to be defensive if whatever should ever dare to point that out!

That's a classic example of what happens when you feed the bad wolf. You don't satisfy an appetite for any kind of feeling when you feed it - you only make it stronger. If you indulge negative feelings about yourself or other people, you strengthen them until they're very hard undoubtedly to break away from.

The other side of the coin's what happens when you feed the Good wolf. If you know population who always seem to get a real kick out of life, who laugh a lot, have lots of friends and interests, and light up the room with power and sparkle, who supervene in all things they turn their hand to and who always seem to have a lot of fun, you don't need ask which wolf they're feeding.

So, how do you feed the good wolf, then?

You give it what it most enjoys.

It has the most enormous appetite for feeling good, for having a definite self-image and strong self-esteem, for kindness, understanding, definite attitudes and salutary laughter. It feeds on self-respect, and tolerance for other people. It thrives on learning skills for the achievement of a purpose, and it loves the delight of attaining worthwhile goals. It laps up happiness.

Above all, it relishes enjoying life and sharing joy with others.

When was the last time you wanted to laugh aloud, or sing, or dance, or turn a somersault, just from the sheer delight of being alive? That state of mind's the one that feeds the good wolf best of all.

If your good wolf's been going hungry, here's how you can furnish it with an instant banquet.

Sit back and relax, and clear your mind of everything. Just let your thoughts all drift away, and feel yourself becoming warm and comfortable. Let your mouth relax into a smile.

Now, think of something that makes you feel exhilarated. It doesn't matter what it is, as long as it's something that makes you light up as though somebody had pressed a switch. This isn't the moment for something comforting and soothing - this is about the sort of joy that makes you want to shout out from the rooftops that life's wonderful.

If that's not the way you feel right now, then think of of whatever that's ever made you feel delight and wonder. If you can't immediately remember whatever that's made you feel that way, imagine what it would feel like to be totally spontaneous and carefree.

Now, focus on that feeling, and palpate it as strongly as you can. Revel in it... Relish every detail. Your subconscious mind can't tell the contrast in the middle of what's undoubtedly happening and what you only feel is happening, so consolidate on that great feeling till it becomes fully real for you.

Do this for at least 10-15 minutes, and make yourself a promise that you'll do it regularly. That way you'll give yourself a surge of power that will advantage yourself, your work and all you come in palpate with.

Remember that you will get what you focus on, either it's definite or negative. What's more, you won't just get it, you'll become it... An upbeat, enthusiastic, sparkling and happy person, or a miserable and self-destructive loser.

The choice is yours. Your mind will give you all things you ask of it -- and it will give you it in quantities you haven't dreamed of yet.

Make sure you feed the Good wolf... Because the wolf that wins the battle is the one you feed.

Distribution Leadership - Lead Wolf - Lone Wolf or the Narcissist

Distribution Leadership - Lead Wolf - Lone Wolf or the Narcissist

Ceos or Presidents, who attain positions of power, reach these positions for a collection of reasons. The reasons are not all the time a succeed of competency and hard work; these positions are not all the time earned. As a succeed employees find themselves under the rule of varied kinds of leaders. Even those leaders that have earned their position can be impossible to work for and it's difficult to be happy and satisfied doing it. Presidents and Ceos are typically seen as sources of motivation and direction. But what's often overlooked is the fact that they not only motivate their administration team but they receive motivation and even direction based on the responses from the employees below them.

What type of leader do you work for?

The Lead Wolf style of leadership is flourishing because these leaders take the time to listen, imagine and investigate numerous alternatives. With the involvement of citizen they forge creative solutions to difficult problems. They challenge their citizen to stretch, go beyond their old boundaries and think surface the box. flourishing leaders feed off their citizen and allow their citizen to feed off of them. They give reputation where reputation is due. They give recognition as a means of gaining respect. They believe individuals can make a difference. Straight through these methods they learn to originate new insights and possibilities. flourishing leadership means creating a sense of urgency, getting mutual commitment to action. Operation steps are all the time clearly defined and precise.

The Lone Wolf leader at the top dominates with power. They are autocratic and intimidating. They often believe that employees are a critical inconvenience and aren't capable of creativity and innovation. More often than not, they embrace "seat of the pants" based on intuitive judgment leadership style. This allows them maximum flexibility and "shoot from the hip responsiveness." However, today's environment demands a carport more menagerial buildings that requires a turn in the nature of past leadership practices. Naturally put, it's an evolution from a extremely reactive, autocratic individualistic style to a more empowering, citizen employee oriented proactive style. It's about going from a "Lone Wolf" leadership style to a "Lead Wolf" leadership style that has reliance in the employee's quality to make things happen and empowers the employees to get the job done.

The Narcissist leader is often very successful. In fact there may be a sure amount of narcissism in all of us. However, the narcissism that exists must be balanced with respect in our relationship with our employees. Excessive narcissism from a psychological standpoint is carefully a personality disorder.

I personally have worked for two Narcissist Ceo's while my career. Both of them were extremely vain, egotistical, conceited, selfish and paranoid. Each demonstrated one or more of those character flaws to an extreme. One positively threw a stapler at his secretary. an additional one had bugging devices installed in his menagerial team's offices. Both were believed to have Bi-Polar personalities by many although a pro determination was never revealed for either.

How Do I Survive in a Narcissist Environment?

Managing your Boss requires skill. Intelligence alone isn't enough. It requires leadership skill on your part. Exquisite communication skills are a prerequisite and self reliance in your own quality is a must to reserve your actions. Delivering Exquisite results for every assignment will not only gain their reliance but can positively originate a dependence on their part. They will come to rely on you to make them look good.

Continue to make suggestions, express ideas that reserve the Ceos personal initiatives that will bring them success and credit. This is especially helpful if they can gain the reputation while you take the risk. Allow the Ceo to take reputation for your ideas and shoulder the blame for those that don't work out. Is this risky? Sure it is but if you want to survive or even thrive under a narcissist it's a risk worth taking. Of course, you could also just walk but that choice isn't all the time practical.

Understand the Narcissist Ego

Managing or just surviving a Narcissist Boss is difficult at best. Construction a relationship with a Lone Wolf or Narcissist Ceo is based upon an understanding of and a capacity to carry on the narcissism of the Ceo. This means you must produce a equilibrium in the middle of expressing your opinions; ideas and candid remarks while utilizing your knowledge of the Ceos need to avow his answer position of power in the organization. A narcissist Ceo and some Lone Wolf Ceos have an inflated sense of self. They openly demonstrate there feelings of superiority, entitlement (especially in house run businesses) and an insatiable need for concentration and admiration.

Mange Your Risk

Narcissist Ceos often trust very few people. As a succeed they may allow their spouse to come to be extremely influential with regard to their leadership style. Some may even employ their spouse in the workplace. Their creation of this spousal sway and dependence can be risky for you. One Narcissist Ceo I worked for was particular but used his girl friend who was employed as my menagerial assistant to fill this role. The risk lies not only in trying to carry on that relationship if they are also employed at the firm but this dependence and sway can positively cut off the Ceo from his menagerial team because this sway ordinarily will reserve his grandiose ideas. Additionally they feed his paranoia. Be known at all times of the following character traits:

o All employees are startling to think the way he/she does

o Their strategies are often dynamic but grandiose

o They trust only their own insights

o They can be charming, glib, accommodating but often are manipulative, deceitful, ruthless and destructive

Are Narcissist Leaders Successful?

Just as Lone Wolf autocratic leaders were very flourishing in the seventies and eighties many narcissist leaders can be very effective. In fact some very celebrated leaders are carefully narcissists by some. citizen like Jack Welsch of general Electric, Bill Gates of Microsoft and Steve Jobs of Apple to name a few. These three Ceos are all very successful; however, they may be the irregularity to the rule. Look at Enron and World Com. They aren't positively just aberrations. Personally, I believe they characterize what can happen when ineffective leadership driven by narcissism creates a cancer at the top that becomes malignant and begins to filter throughout the administration regime. These leaders and many others were undeservedly worshiped when the perception of success and immense profits disguised their real character traits and leadership model. Profit covers many sins together with the sins of the Ceo. It allows us to ignore physiological brainwashing, manipulation, con artistry, exploitation and abusive behavior. They are extremely insensitive to respect for employees.

There are numerous narcissist Ceos at the helm of many corporations today. The challenge of ownership, first generation founders and menagerial teams reporting to these Ceos is to insure that these leaders don't self destruct and lead the firm into a death spiral. This becomes an extremely difficult task for all complex because a true narcissist doesn't even understand their own issues let alone the willingness to work Straight through them. Narcissists need pro counseling to help them accept reality and recognize their limitations. Their ultimate independence, paranoia and self preservation originate a wall that takes a bunker busting bomb to break through.

The Lead Wolf Model of Leadership

Effective leaders must have an edge. They must be courageous enough to take risk and have an unrelenting readiness to act. Popularity is not a requirement, but the quality to originate respect from the employees is, without a doubt, one of the most critical attributes. They must be relentless in their efforts, unconcerned about personal reduce of their time, and willing to go beyond general expectations. Tough decisions are commonplace; uncharted territories will be the norm. Honesty and impeccable character are musts.

Leaders get results. They make things happen. They continually advance a clear agenda, get others to buy in and move the club to accomplish exact objectives. They are explicit, consistent, brief and sincere. They ordinarily have an abundance of charisma although some leaders gain success with a quieter influence. Lead Wolf leaders take payment and are not afraid of responsibility or risk. Most citizen want to succeed them. A good leader develops openness, honesty, clarity of purpose and a sincere caring for the citizen they lead. They gain commitment and trust by demonstrating respect for the individual. They have a keen sense of understanding. They believe in their task, they understand the objectives, they impart clearly and they positively task the understanding that they need the efforts of everybody to succeed. That's the Lead Wolf model of leadership. It's all about believing in employees and their quality to originate success.
