World of Warcraft - How to accumulate a Ghost Wolf As a Pet in WoW
I'm warning you in advance. This is a sad story, particularly if you like pets. And this you obviously do, since you found and are reading this article.
But don't worry, it has a happy ending. So please keep reading if you want to learn how to secure the Ghost Wolf as a pet.
I can still remember the first time ever that I saw a Ghost Wolf in World of Warcraft. Of procedure I do, because this beast is a real beauty.
There are two wolf forms in WoW, and the Ghost Wolf is the prettier of the two. It is transparent, spectral looking, and features bluish ice-like colours. When it howls, you form an impression of an fundamental echo.
When I met this wonder beast, I immediately fell in love with it. My hunter was level 28 or so, and I was running through the dungeon Shadowfang Keep with four of my friends.
After the dungeon, I talked a higher level friend into going there with me, so that I could tame the Ghost Wolf, but alas... Only to find out that it wasn't tameable.
By doing research, I found out that this beast had once been tameable, but that Blizzard had later changed this situation. There was no way that my hunter could ever secure one but, much later, I saw somebody with it in the Auction House. This was, indeed, a very lucky man who'd obviously played WoW for a very long time, in order to possess it.
Time passed, but I never forgot my love of these superb creatures.
Then one evening, as usual, the horde attacked Astranaar. This small village was an easy target for a high level horde, so what they did was wholly without honour.
There were a few people who stood up to them, and valiantly fought back against them. One of these, a draenei woman, surprised me by sending not one, but two Ghost Wolves after the horde to bite their heels, as they ran off. (I found out later they were now called Spirit Wolves.)
I didn't dare to ask her as to how she acquired them, but I noticed that she was a shaman, so I wrote down her name.
To my pleasant surprise, it was possible for a shaman with talents in the Enhancement tree to have two spirit wolves to fight for him for about 45 seconds duration during every two minutes. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to pick that extra talent before at least level 60.
That same evening, I created my shaman, just to ultimately get my spirit wolves, and I never regretted doing it. As somebody once said: "Everybody should have a shaman". This class is genuinely spellbinding to play, and has many possibilities. And I was so proud the first time I achieved this, I took out my spirit wolves to show them to my friends.
